Painting has a certain exemplary function for photography since it was the first imaging medium.

That has given rise to the desire to „paint“ with the camera. The photographer moves in and orients himself to reality, but at this stage he lets disappear reality from his pictures. Reality is a frequent enemy of fantasy, however it is almost equated to photography. The character of photographs should recede into the background for the beholder to enhance his interpretational diversity through elements of painting.
